Parent Questionnaire January 2019
During January 2019, in order to coincide with the OFSTED inspection visit, Froebel House sent all parents a Parent Feedback Questionnaire. We received 115 responses to the questionnaire, some of which represented multiple siblings and family members within the school. The returned responses to the questionnaire represented just short of 95% of the school community. All questionnaires are on file should the authenticity of any of the comments represented be in doubt, the only difference being children’s names have been removed where included. – Mr A. Roberts Headteacher
The school’s work to foster pupils’ personal development and welfare is outstanding. Pupils wear the Froebel House uniform with pride. The headteacher and staff have maintained a harmonious, caring, school community where pupils flourish.
Quite simply the best show in town
I am extremely happy with my daughter’s progress. In comparison to other children in the same year at other schools, she is class years ahead.
I visited Froebel House school and instantly appreciated the work ethic, standards and professionalism of both the teachers and the students. Sending my child to Froebel was the best decision I have made; my child has excelled during school and as a person.
Froebel House is a fantastic School
The vast majority of parents and carers shared their views during the inspection. All expressed confidence in the leadership of the school. They feel their children make good progress and develop exceptionally well, personally and socially. Parents and pupils very much value the school.
We sing praises for Froebel regularly and are so proud to be part of it
Sending our children to Froebel was the best decision ever. We get good communication, discipline and a great education. Froebel is a very good school, the staff respect both the children and the parents.
The headteacher ensures staff understand what the school expects of them. For example, he has ensured teachers check pupils’ work during lessons. All teachers follow a common approach that has been well established over time and which is largely effective. Staff who responded to the Ofsted staff survey feel the headteacher supports them well. They feel motivated, trusted, respected and proud to work at the school.
My child was at a local state primary school and unfortunately her progress was limited and as parents we were concerned. We took the decision to move to Froebel House and we could not be more thrilled with our child’s progress and her growth in confidence. The school has nurtured and challenged our child to reach her full potential. The caring ethos of the school means that children respect and care for each other, and consequently thrive in a positive, supportive school environment.
Our best decision ever, it offers us; mutual respect for all, a good education for our children, discipline and good communication.
I am 100% happy that I sent my daughter to Froebel. Her work is way better than I could ever of expected and her behaviour and the way she communicates with people is excellent. It is all worth it.
A very big thank you to all the staff at Froebel House. Our children are very happy in school and very well looked after. We are very proud of the school.
Froebel provides an excellent education and an international community which is extremely important in a changing world. It was the best decision we have made in sending our daughter to Froebel
My child started Froebel when he was in Year 2. I wish we had sent him before. Great progress, unbelievable difference in him. The best choice we could have made for our child.
Having seen excellent results from his older brother, Froebel was a natural choice. We are extremely happy. Froebel House is excellent. We are extremely happy and is by far the best decision we have made. We have 2 very happy children who feel safe and supported in everyway
We sent our child to Froebel because of its reputation for academic excellence and we are glad that we did! Our child feels challenged and motivated to succeed.
I sent my child to Froebel for its exceptional education and high moral standards and I am happy that we did.
Pupils understand the different forms that bullying can take, including online bullying. Bullying is very rare and pupils trust adults to deal with it well. All pupils questioned said they have adults in school in whom they can confide. Excellent behaviour makes a strong contribution to pupils’ safety.
The family/ community feel that is fostered by Froebel values could not be replicated. The children are allowed to be children and they are nurtured but given the skills to become curious and independent learners. The way the older children look after and encourage the younger ones is lovely and works really well through the house system. Mr Roberts knows both my children far better than I would have expected from a Headteacher and is able to spot any wobbles or worries they may be having and intervenes straight away- where else does a headteacher know the children and families that well?
Froebel House is a wonderful school. I wanted a school that focused on learning and am very happy we did. The teaching and support staff are amazing.
I sent my child to Froebel as I was looking for a more traditional style of teaching. I was looking for a school that teaches values not only in academic work but also respect and good manners but was also friendly. I am very happy that I chose Froebel.
Froebel was recommended to me by another parent. After visiting a local OFSTED ‘excellent school’ rated primary. The difference was profound. I put my child on the waiting list the same day.
I would recommend Froebel without any hesitation. It’s a pity every child doesn’t have the experience of such a positive and supportive learning environment which teaches them skills that will carried throughout their lifetime.
Myself, my siblings and my older child have all been to Froebel. Without a shadow of a doubt it has instilled in us all a work ethic, a solid educational grounding and an excellent all-round ethical mindset. My child has advanced in so many ways and it is lovely to see the child she is becoming.
The new headteacher is fantastic, the care and attention he gives to each individual child serves a medal. The school is a wonderful place. Other schools should learn from Froebel.
I can honestly say it has been the best decision we have ever made for our children. We sent them for a good education, but we have received so much more than that. Mr Roberts has the school running perfectly.
In our opinion it is the best primary school for miles around. We are very happy with our choice. One of my children was able to pass the Hymers exam all due Froebel. It is a fantastic school, and long may it continue.
Froebel House is a wonderful school in every way. The general progress over the past year has been amazing, far exceeded and expectations. The staff’s constant communication is excellent. The hard work and focus are clearly evident by all the staff.
The behaviour of pupils is outstanding.
Froebel is a wonderful school. I actually feel the school has become part of our family. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. Real teachers! Thank you, Froebel.
An excellent School.
My children are thriving at Froebel and come home more and more equipped with academic and life skills every single day. I would be thrilled if more children benefitted from the values that Froebel imbibes in the children.
I cannot emphasise strongly enough my support for Froebel House School – every member of staff is actively involved and committed to ensuring the well being of every child. Thank you.
I think all the staff involved at Froebel do an excellent job, you can tell a Froebel student by the way they speak and interact with you.
A very good school with high morals and high standards among all staff and the headteacher.
An outstanding school on all levels
We are happy 100% happy we sent our children to Froebel and have already enrolled our second child. We would work three jobs in order to send our children to Froebel House School!
Pupils make good progress overall because of good teaching. Pupils are well prepared for the next stage of their education by the time they leave the school. Scores in the English and mathematics tests used by the school, on average, are over 10% higher than those of pupils nationally who take this test.
